    You are bidding on a Rare Vintage Colby College Waterville Maine Unused Match Book 200 Matches Universal Match Corp.
    This great match book and Colby College collectible is an amazing item. All 200 (my count) matches look in pristine condition. The back of the book has a light crease (Mary Low/Coburn) and a medium crease (Miller Library). The strike plate has never been used.
    The blue matchbook, with white logo and writing, measures 12 3/4 inches long by 1 7/8 inches tall. Again, I believe there to be 200 pristine matches in the book.
    The front cover of the book has left-to-right a Miller Library Tower image, reads "COLBY COLLEGE, Waterville, Maine, Close Cover Before Striking," and has an old Colby College "Colbiani Collegii Sigillim Lux Mentis Scientia" circular seal. It also reads "Universal Match Corp., Boston" on the lower part of the front.
    The back cover has various images of buildings on the Colby College, Waterville, Maine, Mayflower Hill Campus-. They are left-t-right Mary Low & Louise Coburn Hall, Keyes Building, Miller Library, Robins, Chaplin & Pepper Halls, Lorimer Chapel and Life Science Building.
    Lastly, this also reads on the top edge "Chartered in 1813 * First President Jeremiah Chaplin.
    I strongly believe this to be from the 1950's or 1960's based on the history of the College and Universal Match Corporation's history.
