OTARI MX5050 2SL 10.5 inch 2/4 Track reel to reel tape deck recorder AS IS

For sale is an OTARI MX-5050 2SL 2 channel Reel to Reel tape deck recorder. It is in good condition albeit with some minor scuffs and marks as shown and a missing head cover. It has been tested and the heads were cleaned and demagnetized for the best sound ever. The mic inputs were tested and they work as well as the other inputs. The pots and switches were sprayed and the metal parts were lubed as well. The play functons however dont always work like they should. Checked the PCB boards, theyre good and the heads dont appear to have any abrasion on them so it could be somethinG I overlooked or something major. i don't know. But after countless hours of trying to figure out the problem and sitting in a repair shop for over 7 months, I decided not to proceed any further. both channels work.The sound when recording at 7 1/2 IPS is very clear and better and wider sounding than the Source recording from, depending on the type of tape used. The heads are also in greatshape which is obviously why the quality is awesome as well. For the problem mentioned above, this deck will be offered as is for parts or repair. Price is 9.99 or best offer.  As always the worst I can say is no! HUBS AND REELS NOT INCLUDED!

NOTE TO WATCHERS: the price is 899.99. please do not expect an extremely large price reduction.  The shipping is 0 which ALSO includes secure packing, insurance and the weight of the deck accounts for the shipping cost. This item will be packed extremely well so it arrives in one piece. Shipping insurance will also be added to cover both myself and the buyer in the event something should happen during shipment rendering the deck inoperable.  DO NOT discard the packing material and box!
