    SCCS # B-53:
    IPMS 1981 souvenir card (BEP) depicting the face of the Series 1905 "Technicolor" gold certificate.  Printed from a plate made from the original die, the central portrait of George Washington was originally engraved by A. Sealy based on a Gilbert Stuart portrait.
    Cancelled at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing Visitors Center on the first day of issue, June 19, 1981, with a Washington D. C. circular date stamp.  NOTE that the circular date stamp INTRUDES into the banknote design.
