    HERE WE HAVE:
    An old book binding press! This piece has an obvious spot where it looks a maker's mark used to be, but the label is gone.. someone more knowledgeable on these may be able to identify the brand based on the design and shape of the old label?
    Made of cast iron, has a round hand wheel at the top for lowering and raising. The middle is marked "3" on both sides and there's a vine styled painting on each side as well.
    CONDITION:
    Being sold as is, as we found it! It seems to work well.. the handle spins and the plate moves up and down accordingly. I don't see any breaks or cracks. There is surface corrosion, discoloration, and paint loss spread throughout. Please see photos!
    MEASUREMENTS:
    Whole piece measures approximately 14 1/2" wide, 10 1/4" front-to-back, and 15 1/2" tall. With the top stretched all the way up, the opening between the plates is about 2 3/4".
