Antique Vintage Industrial Age HAMILTON MFG CO. 50 Drawer Wood Block Printers Cabinet.
These were designed to hold the wood printers block type sets as I was told. This one was a barn find outside Chicago. It was likely one of at least three like sets of cabinets because the number group on this cabinet is 51 to 100 with drawer 57 having been substituted for drawer 106 out of the next high group of numbers from the next higher cabinet. Being as such this cabinet would have likely been a a very large printing establishment in or around Chicago. There are dings, scratches, and all other cosmetic issues but it is a 100 plus year old cabinet anyone looking at this listing proablely are not looking for smothing new. Most of the drawers open smoothly but there are a few that you have to pull a little harder. In the future I will pull the cabinet out to take better photos. The Diminsions are:
Cabinet                   21"   Deep     X    35 1/2" Wide  X         84"       Tall.
Drawer Outside    1 3/4"  Deep     X    32"     Long   X       16 1/2"  Back.
Drawer Inside         1"     Deep     X     31"     Long   X        15        Back.
The drawers are divided down the middle with 14 3/4" X 15" on each side of the divide in the drawer. When you walk into the room you notice this printers cabinet.
